Harvest Academy Malaysia Students Participate in International Forest Day Mangrove Conservation Programme in Kuala Perlis
Nurturing globally minded learners through international education, holistic learning, and sustainability-focused experiences beyond the classroom.

Students and staff from Harvest Academy Malaysia were honoured to participate in the Mangrove Tree Planting Programme held at the KomaLaut Mangrove Site on 10 May 2026 in conjunction with International Forest Day 2026.
The programme was graced by the presence of Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, who emphasised the importance of preserving mangrove ecosystems and highlighted the potential for the KomaLaut mangrove area to be considered as a Permanent Forest Reserve (Hutan Simpanan Kekal).
As part of the initiative, participants joined together in planting 1,000 mangrove trees to support long-term environmental conservation efforts in Perlis. The programme also reflected broader global sustainability efforts aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 14: Life Below Water.

For students of Harvest Academy Malaysia, the experience was more than a community activity — it was an extension of meaningful learning beyond the classroom. As an International GCSE prep school, Harvest Academy Malaysia believes that international education should equip students not only with academic excellence, but also with global awareness, environmental responsibility, and strong personal values.
Through hands-on participation in environmental initiatives such as this, students develop a deeper understanding of sustainability, climate action, biodiversity, and community engagement. These real-world experiences form an important part of the school's holistic education approach, encouraging students to become thoughtful, compassionate, and responsible global citizens.
The programme also provided valuable opportunities for students to collaborate, communicate, and serve alongside organisations, community leaders, and fellow participants from diverse backgrounds. Such experiences help nurture leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility — qualities that are increasingly important in today's interconnected world.

Harvest Academy Malaysia remains committed to providing students with a balanced international education experience that combines academic learning with character development, service, and experiential learning opportunities. The school believes that empowering students with both knowledge and purpose will prepare them to contribute positively to society and the future of our planet.
The school extends its sincere appreciation to all organisers, agencies, and participating organisations for making the programme a meaningful and memorable experience for all involved.
