Celebrating the Joys of Entrepreneurship: Harvest Academy Students Take Part in Chinese New Year Carnival!

The Chinese New Year is a time for celebrating traditions, family, and the new beginnings that the year brings. But for the students at Harvest Academy Malaysia, it's also a time to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test. This year, students from Year 11, Year 10, and Year 9 took part in the Chinese New Year Carnival in Arau and showcased their business skills. This event was part of the school's assignment, as the school believes in providing practical experience for students to put their knowledge into practice.

The students took on three merchant booths, two food stalls, and one game stall and worked tirelessly to prepare for the event. Their efforts paid off as they were able to generate a revenue of RM3,000 and a net profit of close to RM1500. The school and the Perlis Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry were proud to present certificates of participation to the students, recognizing their hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.

At Harvest Academy, entrepreneurship development is a key focus. The school believes in preparing its students for success in a rapidly changing world, and events like the Chinese New Year Carnival provide an excellent opportunity for students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and engage with the community.

The message from the president of the Perlis Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry was clear: to encourage students to be active in society and community activities. This is just one of the many ways that Harvest Academy is preparing its students for success in a rapidly changing world.

But the success of this event wouldn't have been possible without the guidance of three dedicated teachers. These teachers mentored the students through the preparation stage and were on hand during the three event nights to offer support and guidance. Their efforts are commendable and we are grateful for their support.

Overall, the Chinese New Year Carnival was a fantastic opportunity for Harvest Academy students to showcase their skills and engage with the community. It's events like these that demonstrate the importance of combining academic rigour with real-world experience and community engagement. We are proud of our students and their achievements and can't wait to see what they will accomplish next!
